Subject:I would absolutely love to see Ranma characters here. Please. I beg you.

High school is always a scary time. The classes. The cliques. The gaping maw of an unknown future just waiting for you. On the surface, things are pretty typical at Hypnos High, Home of the Nightmares. They have a football team, a drama club, a debate team. A niche for just about everyone. Mondays are infamous for the mystery meat that the lunchroom serves with gravy in hopes of passing it off as Salisbury steak.

But there's a little something extra on the curriculum.

Once a week, on Thursdays, many students march downstairs to the basement infirmary. There each one finds a cot waiting, secluded from the others by a white wrap-around curtain. Lay down. Relax. Close your eyes...

A class on dreaming seems pretty sweet. But again, that's just on the surface.

This dream is unlike any other. You share this dream with all the other students taking this class. And in the dream who you really are, or your deepest, darkest secret is exposed for all your classmates to see. Some are fortunate enough that their dream form isn't a direct reflection of how they look when they're awake. It might be disguised, or not even human. Others aren't so lucky. The classmates who stumble across them will recognize them, and they're forced to wonder what those classmates will do with the secret they now know.

And then there's those three mysterious beads that everyone has around their neck...and the "key" that is randomly hidden in one dream form's body every class...

In this school, there's no such thing as a Graduation Ceremony.

Subject:Professional Dog Trainer Vs. Do-It-Yourself, What's the Better Option? by Kevin Johns - ArticleCity.com

Professional Dog Trainer Vs. Do-It-Yourself, What's the Better Option?
 by: Kevin Johns
We all seem to agree that professional dog training classes is the way to go, right?

Nope, I cannot agree with that statement and I'll tell you why.

Not everyone who wants to have a well behaved dog has access to professional dog training. Having a dog is costly enough and then to add the cost of an expensive trainer on top of all that takes the cake.

What are the options available to people who don't have cars? I don't have a car, but I am lucky enough that the trainer's school is nearby. However, not all people have that option.

There's got to be a better way to communicate proper techniques to your dog. Some people will still need to see a trainer in person, I suppose, but for many people acquiring the services of a professional dog trainer isn't an option.

I visited a website the other day that had short videos and explanations of many clicker training techniques. Obviously, I know every dog is going to react differently to situations, but most people would notice that and figure out how to relate it to their particular dog. And if they care enough to attempt to train their dog at home, who's to say they can only succeed with a professional trainer?

I was told tonight that because I don't have car I shouldn't have a dog. Because I choose not to have a car I should not be blessed with the companionship and joy that comes with having a dog in my life. By that same line of thought one could also say that the elderly, the disabled, and anyone not planning on buying a house should not have a dog either.

Critics will argue there are other pets that I could own such as a cat or a goldfish. That is a horrible thing to say to someone - dogs have so much more to offer. Am I right or do I just need to take the chill pill?

Feeding the Older Dog
 by: Leoanrd Mutch
Dog Food for the Older Dog
What changes do you need to make to your dog feeding regime as your dog gets older?
The changes you make to your dog feeding regime, and when you make them will vary depending on the age of your dog, and the breed of your dog.
It is considered that the larger and giant breeds of dog age earlier than the smaller and toy breeds of dog.
Your objective in managing the nutrition of the older dog is to enhance his quality of life, delay further ageing changes, and to extend his life whilst maintaining his optimal weight.
You are also trying to slow down the onset of disease and improve immune function.
Older dogs will generally be less active than younger dogs so as a rule will require a less energy dense dog food, unless of course the dog's appetite is reduced for some reason.
Continuing to feed a dog the same amount of food with less exercise will inevitably result in obesity, a problem all too common in many dogs today.
In the old dog obesity can be a bigger problem than in the young dog as there may also be concurrent arthritis and organ problems which will be made worse.
A keen eye is needed to assess the energy needs of your dog as it ages, so be aware and switch brands if your dog's weight shows marked changes as it ages.
For the older dog a good quality animal protein based on meat, fish eggs, milk or cheese is better than cereal protein.
A balance needs to be struck between providing too much protein which may be a problem for dogs with renal failure (a common problem in older dogs), and providing too little.
As ageing dogs tend to have less muscle and bone they will have less of a tissue protein reserve and need a certain level of protein in their diet to avoid a negative nitrogen balance.
Your veterinarian is the best person to monitor your ageing dog's renal function and advise the appropriate level of protein in his diet.
When your dog's protein intake is low due to inappetance, this can be increased by heating the food to increase palatability and release more aromas, and by feeding smaller more frequent meals and by supplementing with vitamins.
Carbohydrates are mainly provided by cereals and legumes in the diet, and these are a cheap source of energy.
Care should be taken with the sugar content of some of these foods
Fats are essential in the diet to provide a vehicle for fat soluble vitamins, and are essential for the health of old dogs.
However too much may result in obesity, so again moderation is the rule.
Fibre has a role too in the elderly dog as many are predisposed to constipation.
Adding fibre in the form of wheat bran or cooked vegetables two or three times a week will help to keep your elderly dog regular!
Most dog foods will have more than adequate levels of calcium and phosphorus for the older dog.
There may be a case for reduced levels of phosphorus and salt in the diet.
Some supplementation of zinc and vitamins may be helpful in the older dog, particularly the vitamin B complex.
The main food types for the older dog are - dry, semi-moist or canned.
Diet changes should be made slowly to prevent tummy upsets and diarrhoea.
Be sure to have plenty of water available for your dog, particularly if fed a dried food, and also if kidney and liver disease is a problem.
Reduced appetite in older dogs may be helped by feeding them 2 or more times per day with smaller portions so that they get their full daily requirement.
There are many commercial senior dog food diets now available.
It will pay you to thoroughly examine the different types to increase the life span and vitality of your older dog.

I'm new here, and I just wanted to say how happy I am to see that Ranma still has so many fans even though the anime is not released on American TV. I hope the petition I saw on [Adult Swim] is going to work. They're trying to get it released on AS along side Inuyasha. Wouldn't that be awesome?! Anyway....I have just about finished reading the entire series that's actually released by Viz,and I loved every single book. My personal favorites were the ones where Mousse was involved, and the one for the contest to Jusynkeyo....I really can't spell. Anyway, hope to see you guys around. Talk soon!

Subject:Ranma, Seasons 1-4 on DVD
Posted by:shutupjosh.
Time:10:14 am.
There is a guy on e-bay who has been selling Ranma DVD's for WAY cheap! His ebay username is timarnold1 and here is a list of items he is selling. I bought Ranma 1/2, seasons 1 and 2 for about $60 for both, and seasons 3 and 4 for about $70 from him. So, in total, I only speant about $130, and that was for shipping and everything. The DVD's are in top quality, and this guy ships things out super fast. I was just blown away by the quality, and by how quick they got to my house. Anyway, I thought I'd let you guys in on this, if you're trying to collect the DVD's, and don't feel like shelling out hundreds of dollars. I couldn't be more happier with them. :)

Subject:Hi... I'm new here... can you tell?

I'd just like to say that Ranma is my newest obsession and fav animé. I can't get enough, and this is why I've joined, to ask...

I have seasons 1 - 3 now, and the OAVs... with the exception of the music cd's (got access to the DoCo ones) and the manga, and the VHS seasons after 3, what do you suggest I look into to hold me until November 11th, when season 4 comes out?

I'm getting the 'Ranma Forever's, but I still need more. Help, help??
